We will meet at Manhattan’s at noon tomorrow. We will be finalizing our Kiwanis Basket Stuffing details for this Saturday. I believe we will also "pass a hat” for donations. For those that are not able to attend the meeting, but wish to donate, please contact me and we will get you the information necessary.
So far this is what I have:

Then to Brian Miller’s home at 2020 Robinwood to assemble the baskets. For those that are not going shopping, please meet at Robinwood between 10:00 to 10:30. And this from Elizabeth:
Good morning!
Just wanted to share that the Kiwanis Club of Toledo scholarship application is now open. TPS Foundation has added specific questions for our scholarship process to their overall application, and it is available to all TPS seniors through early spring. The application process can be found here: https://givetpsf.org/scholarships/ and TPS Foundation will promote the scholarship on social media on December 7.
Ashley Yoakam is diligently working to ensure all graduating seniors from Toledo Public Schools are aware of the generous funds available to them, and will be going into the schools to promote the process and answer questions. I look forward to a robust and fruitful partnership between our organizations!
I have Saturday morning marked off on my calendar- looking forward to building those Thanksgiving baskets again! Hope to see you there

Hi all,
The holidays are coming and your board of directors has been busy preparing for all the great happenings we’ve come to look forward to.
The Thanksgiving baskets are a go this year with Mom’s House as our recipients. We will prepare 25 baskets on Saturday, November 19th, complete with Paul’s soups and pies - yea!!
The Sherman School holiday party and goody bag stuffing will follow in December.
Your presidents will prepare information to send out with all the wonderful details.
We need all hands on deck for these major projects!
It’s a wonderful time to be a Kiwanian. I don’t know about you but Thanksgiving baskets are always the kick off to the holiday season for me.
We will provide all details and information in the weeks to come...

Good Day Everyone,
I have the final tally on the proceeds from the car show this past weekend, and would like to schedule a meeting date to deliver the check to Kiwanis.
The final numbers are:
125 Classic Cars, Trucks, and Special Interst Vehicles in attendance throughout the day. With 50/50 raffle takes, and TOLEDO DOOR AND WINDOW'S "round up" donation, (including Bob Bollin's registration fee of $220 for HIS 22 Vehicles in the show ! LOL) I have a check for $2000.00 to present to the club.
Thank You to all Kiwanis volunteers that came out and helped with the show!
It was a GREAT day with GREAT support from the local Classic Car Owners Community!
Most all Classic Car people are generous and supportive of our show every year.
Let me know what Wednesday Meeting dates you have available for me to deliver the check.
Respectfully Submitted,
Bob

Fellow Kiwanians;
Last Saturday we had the largest Division project ever accomplished. Turnout was tremendous! Everything went better than expected. We had visits from Marcy Kaptur (United States Representative) and Toledo Mayor (Wade Kapszukiewicz) . Volunteers and workmanship from all ages was outstanding. We had a total of 51 members, staff and volunteers.
I'm so proud to be part of this Division on performance for this project. We raised a total of $9000 enough to build 50 beds. We received a grant from the Ohio District Foundation for $1960.00 and the rest all the clubs donated to. I want to acknowledge two clubs for coming up with extra monies days before the event so I could meet my goal of 50 Beds. Downtown Toledo Club, and East Toledo Club. It is my intention to execute this project next if the Presidents vote in favor.
Sincerely Michael Metzger
Lt Governor Division 1 North

My goal of 50 beds is a little short we still have 6 weeks before the event to raise more funds to accomplish this goal please see what your clubs can do. Thank you!

We also paid tribute to Pat Scharf who attended the luncheon as she was instrumental in orchestrating our scholarship program for many years.
