Hi all,
Today we meet at Manhattan’s at noon.
We have speakers lined up for the first Wednesday of each month. Two weeks ago we were joined by Eric Fox from Springfield High School and Cordelia Vandeverre from Toledo Technology Academy. They were here representing Leadership Toledo. After listening to these two seniors, we know we are in good hands with their future leadership. Cordelia, the president of Yippie, had just met with Senator Sherod Brown and Eric led an arts supply drive at Springfield to benefit Mental Health Awareness
We have a change of guard and Greg Loeb is our new president for this quarter. He sends this message…
Hi All,

Just a reminder that Manhattan’s has asked us to be seated and ready to place our orders right at noon. This helps to get our checks distributed at 1PM in order to try to get us all out of the restaurant by 1:15PM.

January 19th Meeting Recap;
We had quite a crowd of members at Manhattans and the service was superb. Everyone got their food in quick order and the bills arrived shortly after.
All is good! Alex McLean started our meeting off with a beautiful invocation.
Michael told yet another dad joke - “Why does a chicken coup only have two doors? Because if it had four doors, it would be called a chicken sedan!”
Brags and fines;
John updated us on another wrestling win for Conrad. Way to go Conrad!
The big news: Gail and Noah Faulder are expecting a baby girl in May. Congratulations to them both!
George and Don are both happy to be on the other side of Covid.
Next Wednesday is our board meeting. Liz Hoerner was bringing a couple of Youth Leadership students to our meeting tomorrow. We hope to reschedule their visit.
Be safe out there. Keep that core tight when shoveling! Better yet, if some industrious kids come by and offer to shovel for you, take them up on that offer.
Hello Kiwanians and friends,
President Rick led a successful luncheon at Manhattan’s last week. The food was delicious. Parking was easy.
Past President Michael was there with his bad dad jokes.
We collected $120.00 in brags and fines.
Some of them are as follows:
lots of OSU brags
Michigan fans were silent
Conrad (John E.) and Andrew (Dave L.) wrestled their way into winning tournaments
Gene C. is opening up his own law practice
Board meeting the 9th of February at Manhattan’s
Next Kiwanis meeting is January 19th at Manhattan’s
We received this beautiful letter from Mom’s House for our $500.00 donation for classroom supplies this past holiday season.
