Happy June. We recently granted several Toledo Public High School students scholarships with a nice luncheon. This is always a special event and one we as Kiwanians will remember for years to come. We heard from each student and how they overcame the struggles of learning during Covid. Special thanks to Liz Hoerner for organizing this event. We also paid tribute to Pat Scharf who attended the luncheon as she was instrumental in orchestrating our scholarship program for many years. Thanks also to Gene Canestraro for securing our great luncheon venue and planning a nice pasta meal.

For anyone looking to tour some beautiful gardens, Old Orchard is hosting their annual tours this Sunday. Tickets ($10.00) are available on line until Friday evening or at Sip Coffee the morning of the event (10:00 a.m.).
