Each Christmas, our club sponsors a Christmas party at Sherman Elementary School, located in Toledo's central city. The party is a major highlight of our year! Club members participate in fund raising programs throughout the year to purchase gifts and goodie bags for each student at Sherman Elementary.
The celebrations begins with a wrapping party held in mid-December where Kiwanis and Key Club members and teachers from Sherman get together to wrap the gifts and put together the goodie bags.
The wrapping party is followed by a pot-luck dinner, organized by the Sherman Elementary School teachers, where club members and teachers get together to celebrate the season. Later on in December, a party is held at the school and each student is provided a wrapped gift, a goodie bag and an opportunity to meet Santa.
